Future Instruments

Three new instruments are being built to take advantage of the excellent capabilities provided by the Adaptive Secondary Mirrors and the current upgrade of the performance of the LBT Adaptive Optics systems.

They are expected to arrive on the telescope over the next two years, offering  extreme AO and coronagraphy in the near-IR (SHARK-NIR) and visible (SHARK-VIS) and AO fiber-fed spectroscopy (R=150,000) with iLocater.
